I’m alive! I’m alive! And I’m dead inside! …I’ve really gotta stop quoting song lyrics…

Look at me, so punctual again! And guess where I am? I’m in… Wait for it… MURICA! A whole different country! A whole different continent! A whole different culture and weather and time zone! Fortunately, I’m over my jet lag and feeling relatively at home in my bubble of YouTube, music, and family. Also swimming, since we’re fortunate enough to have generous friends who are letting us housesit for them. They have a lovely house with a lovely pool and they are lovely people and this is a lovely song. Lovely.

So yeah, since I last wrote we sorta kinda took care of the pets (I hope?), said goodbye, packed up, went to the airport, discovered Jack’s passport had expired or some-such nonsense, SOMEHOW managed to fix it and hop on a flight the next night, and made it to England! But our journey was far from over, oh no!

We rented a car, stored our junk, and drove far. We ate at McDonalds (McDonalds! …actually it wasn’t all that great, but McDonalds!) and arrived at “the castle”. We eventually found Olivia and took her away to a cabin. And there were horses! Lots of horses! And we visited another castle, and toured the countryside, and listened to the How to Train Your Dragon audiobook which is perfect and beautiful, and generally had a good time.

Then we returned to London and flew, flew to Murica! We were briefly stopped, but then sped up! And I got frozen coffee with Mom and Olivia and Aunt Penny, and everything was good. We stayed in a hotel, which had good food, and then stayed with our lovely friends for a few days, and then they left us to housesit while they went on a trip.

And besides all that joy and magic, we’ve gotten to reacquaint ourselves with our wonderful cousins. One of them’s in Italy our something and they’ve all gotten older, how dare they, but everything’s fun. And Isaiah made a new Olympic record, so that was great. And no, I don’t care that it was on Wii, and yes, I am jealous.

So. That’s enough gibberish for now, methinks. Live well and fully, be brave and courageous, listen to pretty music and pay for things! I don’t even know who I’m talking to at this point…

So long!
