‘Ello, peoples! I have returned–and don’t you just love the new format? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
So, today’s Easter, apparently. I know this because at our lovely airport church today, my dad gave a sermon about Easter and all the goes along with it… Starting over again, and all that jazz, or something like that. He used my brother and a broken camping chair to further illustrate, as I recall. And yes, Dad, I would not<\/em> trust that chair.<\/p>\n I also know because I was just at an Easter lunch, which tasted delicious but was ruined, for me, by the conversation. How was it ruined? Something to do with grown-ups discussing the death of kittens. WHY!?! WHY MUST YOU EVEN TALK<\/em> ABOUT SUCH THINGS!?! Sure, there are a lot of cats, but I, personally, think we should value<\/em> life, all<\/em> life, especially at this time of year. It was especially\u00a0upsetting because I know<\/em> those kittens, and knew their mothers when they<\/em> were kittens, and besides, THEY’RE KITTENS!!!<\/p>\n So. No more yummy Easter food for me. I’m going to stay in here and write, thank you very much.<\/p>\n Speaking of writing, I’ve most recently written a “short” story that’s a parody of The Martian, a book we read as a family not so long ago… And of course, we watched the movie afterwards, as well! I like to call it The Jovians, and it features a cast of–you ready for this?–my and my brother’s stuffed animals<\/em>! Weird, right? Anyway, I might put it on here someday, if I can just get Dad to read it and maybe make a few suggestions for editing? If he won’t do it, then I guess I do<\/em> know some people<\/em> who might want to edit it. Might. Otherwise, I’ll just put it up and there we go!<\/p>\n I might add that the stuffed animal cast might someday be featured in a book I right–not as stuffed animals, of course, that’s been done<\/em> before. I actually did start writing that book, called GraceTon tales, but I’ve decided to take it in a totally different direction… And at a later date, as well, since right now I’m trying to self-edit some of my books. All I’ve done so far is write what I want<\/em> to do, and not actually do<\/em> it, in Evernote, which is awesome.<\/p>\n Hmm. Besides that, my birthday is in… A week and a few days, I believe! And then right after that it’s the long drive down to Nairobi, where we will be living. For the rest. OF OUR LIVES!!!!!! Well, maybe not that long, but we’re moving there, anyway.
