Back to Homeschool
We live on a compound with lots of kids. Now that all our kids are homeschooling again… Breanna put this sign up on the door today. .
.
.
Later, she noticed the sign changed.
(Click the arrow on the right).
The new sign
I asked him why he crossed off his face on this sign?
“It’s not crossed off! It’s a ✔️” he stated.
A chilling tale
Several families left suddenly to return to their “passport” home countries. We had many unexpected and sad farewells. We also inherited a “new” refrigerator and stove from one of the families leaving. They are both a big blessing!
Unfortunately, on my way to pick up the AIM truck, I had an accident on my bicycle, leaving me with missing skin in chunks, a sprained wrist, and sore ribs.
My wife is incredible. Not only surviving without a fridge for six months, but she moved this one into the house while I hobbled behind pretending to help.
After these travel restrictions are lifted, please come by for cold water and freshly baked bread!
Nairobi curfew
Like many of you, we are navigating new rules and a new “normal.” One of the new rules is a curfew between the hours of 7pm and 5am. Our pilots and maintenance specialists are considered part of an essential service, so we can theoretically be on the streets during curfew.
However, most of us are reluctant to tempt fate, especially after hearing tales of how handy the police are with their nightsticks on curfew violators!
Easter at home
Story time outside
Jack loves reading. He begged to read to other kids on the compound. Since they could not gather inside, they turned “a picnic” into a reading time so everyone could stay outside and listen as he read.

Joys of Homeschool
Did I mention that the boys are doing homeschool? Pray for us as we all share the same space for the entire day. We are all mostly on the internet too as they use an online classrom and I work from home.
I seem to also be the inspiration for some of Jack’s school work answers.
Recycled Art
Jack’s art lesson one day involved using paper rolls to create an owl family. Here we are: Jerry, Breanna, Olivia, Nate, Grace, Isaiah, and Jack.
He “surprised” me by putting the tall owls on my bedside table. I told him I was having a hard time sleeping with two owls watching me.
He became despondent.
“What? No, i wanted them to be for comfort…”
Would you like a comfort owl? If so … I know a guy.
How grateful we can be during this time that we know Someone who watches over us when we sleep!
Socially Distant, Spiritually Unified
This was our last “socially distant” prayer time as a team at the hangar before we started working from home.
So many people around the world are in a fight for survival, including many of you. Thank you for your continued support – taking your precious time and resources and offering them on behalf of our ministry.
Please pray for our missionaries that we support. They have never been so isolated as now, especially in terms of emergency (medevac) flight options.
Please pray for Africa. Much of the chief industries for this region (flowers, oil, and tourism) have been decimated. South Sudan is a country between governments with no clear authority structure. Yet, His peace reigns amidst this uncertain time!
