A first for me today, especially in Kenya. A motorcycle policeman caught up to me in traffic and said he received a call that they saw me make an illegal turn on their CCTV. He invited me to walk with him so I could see the signs indicating the turn was illegal. There were no signs.
He took my license and told me to follow him to the station. I didn’t have the cash for bail. While Jack went around the traffic police office greeting policemen giving fist bumps and trying on one if their uniform hats, I explained what we were doing in Kenya, how we spent most of our time in Turkana and are still learning Nairobi. He forgave the offense after a friendly conversation, and now I know that someone is watching all those cameras on the street.
