I admit it, this is a bad idea. Still, I just can’t resist sharing a paragraph I spotted in a recent e-mail Breanna wrote:
“Wanna quick snippet of our ‘day in the life’ today…. So no plane in
Loki for a while, has been gone about a month and has another in
maintenance still. So Jerry planned to replace two rusty, crumbling
window screens in our room and kitchen today, so removed them and THEN
discovered the screening material we had waiting for the project is
AWOL. Soooo, I hung Olivia’s mosquito net in the kitchen window and used
magnets to secure it to the window frame. Quiet nice, it does let it
very romantic lighting, but I know after any amount of time, it would be
a grey/ yellowy lighting from the dust on the net.
For our room’s window, Jerry zip tied shade cloth over it, phew, not
mosquito ridden yet! While Jerry’s taking down window screens and I’m
burning trash, Jerry tells me there’s someone to see me, a girl I don’t
recognize, she knows my househelper and wants help with school fees…we
just sent two boys we DO sponsor back to school after feeding and
housing them all month! Then after the movie, Isaiah “thinks” he sees a
centipede (or something with pincers) come under the front door and
under the couch, so I whisk Jack off crawling on the floor to his pack n
play while Jerry lifts the couch sections and holds the light and I’m
ready with the doom can. Just found a teeny albino centipede, oh well,
at least, couch is doomed for a while, and we found the spare pacififer
🙂 All in a day’s work”
