Oh, Carolina!

Salut! Comment ça va? Yeah, I’ve been learning French. Along with many other things, because guess what?  In the–has it been two months? I don’t feel like doing math–in the two months since I last wrote, we have *deep breath* visited our (maternal) grandparents and our aunt, finally arrived in CAROLINA, the boys started going to a private school and Mom started teaching at said private school, and I started North Star academy! We stayed in an apartment for a few weeks, and just yesterday moved into this lovely new house, courtesy of the Grays. It’s pretty awesome. Oh, and between our aunt and arrived in CAROLINA, we dropped Olivia off at Asbury University. She also got in a car accident, but she’s alright now. Quoth the fox: Alls well that ends well! Speaking of well: Well, school kinda sucks. French is interesting, physical science is cool, English...

I’m Ali-i-i-i-ive!

I’m alive! I’m alive! And I’m dead inside! …I’ve really gotta stop quoting song lyrics… Look at me, so punctual again! And guess where I am? I’m in… Wait for it… MURICA! A whole different country! A whole different continent! A whole different culture and weather and time zone! Fortunately, I’m over my jet lag and feeling relatively at home in my bubble of YouTube, music, and family. Also swimming, since we’re fortunate enough to have generous friends who are letting us housesit for them. They have a lovely house with a lovely pool and they are lovely people and this is a lovely song. Lovely. So yeah, since I last wrote we sorta kinda took care of the pets (I hope?), said goodbye, packed up, went to the airport, discovered Jack’s passport had expired or some-such nonsense, SOMEHOW managed to fix it and hop on a...

The Countdown Has Started

Y’all ready!?! Go and get yourself together, there’s no time to rest! And if you put the time in, I’ll put you to the test– ah, forget it. I’m actually doing this ON TIME! Goooooooo me! Woo-hoo! Okay, calming down. Since last time on Grace’z Place… We still don’t have any idea what to do with our pets, even though we’re leaving in less than two weeks. Esh. (That’s a word, by the way.) I’m still a weirdo who does nothing. We did our play, it went great! My costume was AWESOME. Maybe I’ll put a picture somewhere or something. (So professional today!) We got a new game, so I’ve been playing that a lot. And I actually have done some pre-writing nonsense, so I’ve got that going for me! Mom’s been kind enough to scan some things for me, so I might show you guys (assuming you are guys. Or that...

Rest In Pieces

Long time, no see! Or long time, no write, I suppose. It’s… actually not been as long as I thought, so that’s a pleasant surprise! Regardless, I really am going to try to write on here more regularly. Really! So, since last time, I have done almost NOTHING to do with Through the Door other than some sketches. In fact, I haven’t done anything to do with writing. Instead, I’ve been watching YouTube, reading comics (and books too, occasionally), playing video games, and sometimes interacting with people. Co-op marches on, and I’ve got my script memorized and know most of the songs. My costumes looking pretty great, too! I have an obsession with music and making playlists for my books (in theory, I’ll listen to them while I write, but again, I haven’t been writing.) My wonderful older sister, ‘Livia, has actually left the country and is...

The Possibilities Are Never Ending

At long last, I can announce my GLORIOUSLY UNPROFESSIONAL RETURN! So… I don’t really have an excuse. I just keep forgetting about my blog. Then Sam updated her blog, so then I realized, “What, I haven’t written on here since last year!?!” And then I was like, “Well, if it means not working on my book…” As for the title… MUSIC. IS. AWESOME. Since I last wrote, well… I wrote Darkness Born, which was fun. No, really, actually just writing something and not caring about how good it was was a very nice relief from all the editing nonsense I’ve supposedly been doing. Even if it is a terrible book. After that NaNo nonsense I took a month-long break from writing and honed my drawing skills. To my shock, I discovered I could draw! Seriously! I was as surprised as you are. We also did our co-op play, The Bethlehem Star, and I was...
