Trap… and… DES DEMONA!

Ciao, site surfing peoples!

Sorry it’s been so long, but I’ve been very busy making cookies and eating cheesecake and playing video games and reading (and rereading) books and… um… what other excuses do I have? Oh yes! I have been WRITING!

What have I been writing, you ask? Well, I answer, I have been writing TRAP AND LURE!Β What is Trap and Lure about? you ask. Is it a good book? you wonder. To answer one of those questions, Trap and Lure is about… *drumroll* …ALIENS! That’s right! I told you about it last post, I think, but did I mention the UNDARS and SLINKEYS and FOUR-HEADED MULTIS? That’s right! SLINKEYS!

Any who, just a few moments ago, I was ambushed by the end of Trap and Lure, so now I must prepare to right another book. What book? Well, I’m not sure about the title. But I know what it will be about (otherwise, it’s kind of hard to write, right?). This book will focus on… *pause for effect* …A SUPERHERO! Not just any superhero–BAT-EAR, the hero of HAYSTACK!

What? You don’t know what that is? Well, neither do I, really.

So, is that all I have been doing? NOT SO! We also have new neighbors (I mean, MORE? At this rate we’re going to be a city!), and in traditional neighbor-welcoming style, we have gone HIKING with them. And that’s about it.

What will I do now? you wonder. Will I finally start doing useful things? Probably, since school will resume soon. School makes you realize what’s REALLY useful. And of course, my dog is causing problems and the cat’s being annoyingly affectionate… as usual.

Well, that’s about it. See you on the other side! (I don’t really understand that saying, but oh well…)

We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. ~Romans 15:1-2

Try NaNoWriMo. It is very helpful. Because you have to write a book. In a MONTH.

Don’t worry, you don’t get beaten up if you can’t meet your word goal. Anyway, that just kind of taught me that I can finish writing a book, so I should. The real trick is don’t write a bunch of books at the same time, just one or two, and write EVERY DAY. Or EVERY OTHER DAY. Or EVERY THREE DAYS. πŸ˜€

Hehe, the problem is, I have an idea for a new book about once a month. Or twice a month.
And I have to get it down RIGHT THEN, or I’ll forget.
And right now I have about fifty works-in-progress.
            *sigh*

Well, when I have ideas, I just write them down, and use them later. I have about fifty ideas down now, but I’m only writing one book. When I’m done with that, I move on to another idea, and when I’m done with that… Well, you get the idea.

Except, then I’ll have an idea of how to continue it, and I’ll write, and so now I have a ton of documents with half a chapter to two chapters.

Well, actually, I stopped playing because it just… kept changing. Always new puzzles and challenges and stuff. I just got tired of it, I guess. *very sheepish grin*

Yeah, I think Beth stopped playing because of that, too. I’m still playing, but I mostly ignore the promos and such. They have Draft horses now, Shires and Perchons. But you can only breed them three times. *huff*

Do you wanna check YWP out first? It’s for 17 and under, BTW. That is an awesome acronym. Acronym is an awesome word.

I did. I dunno, it’s just… I don’t think being able to set my own word count goal’s gonna work for me…

When you first join, it had this thing so it can figure out your writing speed, and from there, it figures out what goal is the best for you.

When I first started, I did the default (30,000), then next time I did 40,000, and next time I’m going to do 50,000. But I can join the grown-up one, if you want. It just seems so… grown-up. No forums or anything.

Ah. Well… I’m just hesitant, is all. Maybe we can both do separate websites, and just talk on here. Or… have you ever read Spirit Animals? Or Wings of Fire? Or do you like Minecraft? Or have you heard of Upside Down Magic? Or Harry Potter (okay, I know you read that one)? Or Jedi Academy? Cause there’s a sight for all of them. It’s called *drumroll, please* SCHOLASTIC. Wings of Fire Scholastic, Spirit Animals Scholastic, Minecraft Scholastic, whatever you please! πŸ™‚

Arrrgh! Harry Potter is so frustrating! How about we meet on the Minecraft forum instead? I know how to navigate it.
