ESW, ESW

Well, hello, awesome people of web-land!

My dear father has told me it’s either Mother’s Day or ESW, so I’ve decided to write about ESW (no offense, Mom).

ESW is the new, fancy-schmancy name for good ol’ homeschool week (which doesn’t even have capitals), and it stands for Educational Support Week (all capitalized).

During ‘ESW’, us poor, innocent homeschoolers are carted off by our determined missionary parents and dumped in a beautiful but freezing boarding school, where for a whole week we get sore muscles and frozen toes hiking from motel to cafeteria to school, and are tested, learn about Japan (well, not every time), and tag along with some poor non-homeschoolers who have been assigned us pathetic foreign-to-school-ers.

Then, at the very end, we’re stuffed full of doughnuts, pizza, and cheeseburgers to keep us from talking (literally and figuratively), and our parents cart us back home. But there is a shining light, brighter then even the doughnuts–a library! A library ALL FOR ME MWA-HA-HA! (just kidding…)

Alright, so it wasn’t all that bad. But what’s life without a little drama?

Anyway, I’ve finished Dragon Daughter, as you may or may not have noticed, and I’ve started writing a book about UNICORNS, of all things! I know, I have no idea what was going through my head, but now I’m stuck with a trio made up of a UNICORN, of all things, a cat, and a Dog (actually a Dhole, but don’t tell anyone).

That’s about it, except for, of course, Mother’s Day–you’re awesome, Mom!
